Childcare Travel Support

DEI Special Sessions: Increasing Career Opportunities for Students and Researchers in Underrespsented Groups

The lack of skilled research engineers and scientists in various domains of STEM signifies the need for proper education and awareness of the STEM fields in earlier and advanced education levels. In particular, the lack of equal opportunities in education, existing career opportunities, and inequalities for unrepresented and minority groups lead to lower participations of minority groups in STEM fields and related career paths. These special sessions aim to increase awareness of this issue, provide guidance and essential advice from DEI community for future generations to be successful in their career paths.

Session 1: Empowering DEI Individuals for Future Career Path

A panel on “Empowering DEI Individuals for Future Career Path” can provide a platform for successful individual to present their work, their road map of success, and their suggestions for new generations. The panelists will share their experience, stories, and lessons learned on their journey of successful career.
